To Tatin Or Not to Tatin.
Some people don't need a reason to bake. I do. It's called the holidays. While my family's generations-old pumpkin bread recipe is my de facto holiday potluck contribution (and it is good), I'm the first to admit I'm in a bit of a rut when it comes to trying new recipes and (gasp!) veering off-tradition.
That's why I was thrilled to find Michelle, a friend and former Angeleno, blogging about all things delicious in her blog The Daily Waffle. Recipes include baked goods like Pistachio Olive Oil Cake and Ginger Cookies - not gingerbread. Straight up ginger.
If the simple, savory ingredients don't convince you to abandon your computer and pick up a spatula, the beautiful photos just might. Resistance is futile.
