The piece fetched $106.5 million at Christie's in an auction that lasted eight minutes and six seconds. In March, the New York Times reported that the painting was expected to sell for "more than $80 million" and experts expected it to break the $100 million mark. Picasso did not disappoint, proving 37 years after his death, he's still the man.
